With experience in wealth management, retirement planning, and wealth transfer, Scott relies on his differentiated set of skills to help clients increase their feelings of confidence as they work toward pursuing their dreams. Having started his career in accounting, Scott transitioned to financial services because he wanted to connect directly with clients. As the founder of My NP Advisor, he utilizes empathetic listening and his ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms.
Scott helps people understand how they can address their biggest financial concerns, such as preparing for retirement and the fear of running out of money. He feels fortunate to work in an industry in which he can choose the people he works with, which is why he’s chosen to help those in the healthcare industry. Scott truly admires the work that healthcare professionals provide and wants to offer his expertise to them as they do with their patients.
Scott attended Missouri State University, earning his degree in general business with an emphasis in finance. He has also completed the Personal Financial Planning Program at the University of Central Missouri. Scott attained his Series 7 and 66 registrations in 2013 and his Life and Health Insurance License.
As an active participant in the Kansas City Young Professionals group, Scott works with other leaders in supporting professional development within the community. He grew up in the Blue Springs, Missouri, area and now resides in the Kansas City metropolitan with his wife, Michelle, son, Ethan, and daughter, Amber. Scott enjoys barbecuing, collecting sports memorabilia, and keeping up with the NFL draft in his free time.
